I enjoyed this podcast, I'm not a follower of the Tao but I am finding it interesting learning about it..
I understand some things alot more than I did before..I appreciate how you broke the information down and further explained or I might have gotten confused! It's interesting when you brought up that it may seem like expectstion is the main word but it's not! ...if I had not been paying attention in might have missed that vital peice! I appreciate the time and effort it takes to create a podcast and I walk away with some really interesting things to ponder...Thank you...I did enjoy the extra commentary at the end of the podcast!! Thank you!
Ooo thank you so much! I had another listener say he liked it too. It’s really helpful to have some feedback on anything I put out online. I found that keyword line surprising when I wrote it too. It was almost like a light bulb went off. Sometimes just putting things down on paper can show you things you didn’t originally think of. I’m glad you’re learning and thanks again!
Your welcome!! Thank you for all of your hard work! And for sharing that you were surprised aswell! It's interesting when that happens! That writing can be such a great teacher and such a great healer
I'm commenting on the article rather than the podcast, so I may have missed some insights. However, I wanted to note that interesting quirk of human nature: the desire for cognitive consistency. You recall Ben Franklin's suggestion that if you want someone to approve of you, let that person do you a favor. (He borrowed a book, for example.) The other person may well then feel that you are a person who is worth doing a favor for--a person to approve of. Similarly, instead of expecting a good day, one that we can be grateful for, if we express gratitude for another day, it is likely to be a good one. Thanks!
Oh I hadn’t heard about that story from Ben Franklin. But that makes total sense! That mindset completely changed how I woke up each day and it still works for me today.
