I’ve Been Accepted to the Medium Partnership Program & More!
I will come out and admit it; I tried to cheat the system using the follow-for-follow tag and got burned for it, fair and square. I gained 100 followers in about three days, published several articles I had moved over from my blog, and tried to go for the partnership, which backfired.
So, after being denied, I began a quest to do things the right way, build a community, make genuine connections, and eventually reapply for the partnership program.
Now I have over 600 followers, run my own publication, edit another, and help admin both Discord communities! I’ve created several social media accounts for The Taoist Online (TTO, my publication), raised $250 to apply for a trademark (application pending), and now I’ve been accepted into two partner programs in 24 hours!
Medium’s partnership program will be the most well-known for you, dear reader. I can now monetize my articles and use my referral link to help readers signup for a Medium membership. The second partnership I’ve joined is the Flipboard Creator Program. This allows me to run free ads to Flipboard’s 145 million active monthly users for my publication AND create unique Storyboards that link back to Medium, my website, or my book!
I cannot express how thrilled I am at the chance to share my thoughts, emotions, and stories with others worldwide. I have so many ideas on how to use these two incredible partnerships to help others find themselves and give some guidance along their spiritual journeys.
The world can be dark, and it needs more light than I can create. But if history has taught me anything, words are powerful. Wars are fought over the words of leaders. Our words can make a difference and reach somebody who needs them. So, I’m not giving up whatever it takes and for however long it takes.
In fact, I’m just getting started.
